Prague Letňany Airport is constantly improving its security system. Recent terrorist attacks in Paris shows that it is necessary to ensure strict compliance of safety regulations and their continuous improvement. Prague Letňany Airport, an international airport with the second highest number of aircraft movements in the Czech Republic after Vaclav Havel Airport in Ruzyně, is one of the gateways to the Schengen area. That’s why safety is a top priority.
“We welcome constructive criticism and concrete suggestions for improving the safety and general functioning of the airport. But we strongly demand that users of airport obey valid rules to eliminate possible risks to minimum level, “said Petr Kříž, director of Prague Letňany Airport. “This year we introduced a system of ID cards and therefore all persons in the airport must wear visible ID card with marked areas for which they are authorized to enter. It’s not a regulation that should complicate usage of the airport, but it should keep our users safe. Therefore I call for the observance of this particular, but also all the other regulations in the airport, “added Kříž.
